Q-Card's Jeff Bedell to Present at 2009 ICMA Fall Academy Workshops
SUNBURY, PA – August 17, 2009 – Q-Card announced Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Jeff Bedell, will present at the 2009 International Card Manufacturers Association (ICMA)'s Fall Academy Workshops this September. Bedell's presentation, titled “Card Testing Options – The Ins and Outs of In-House vs. Outsourcing,” will be part of the USA Workshops, which will take place from September 17-18 in Schaumburg, Illinois. Bedell was scheduled to present a similar topic at the ICMA EXPO this past March, but was unable to due to injury. Bedell will speak on Thursday, Sept. 17 at 11:30 AM.
With gatherings scheduled in the States and two locations abroad over September and October, the Workshops are geared toward manufacturing challenges, new and alternative materials, card security, card personalization and developments in the field among other topics, with each location hosting themes pertinent to that region. Attendees will hear from experts on the current issues affecting their profession, as well as developments on the latest technology and trends relevant to the industry. Workshops will be held in the U.S., Dubai, and Rome, Italy.
Given the nature of the Workshops, Bedell's presentation will contribute an appropriate perspective on the card manufacturing business, card testing, a universal concern in the field. With an impressive background of sales and marketing experience, Bedell's presentation will come from a testing and standard perspective, and will focus on how a third-party testing laboratory can benefit ICMA members.
According to Q-Card's CEO, Karen Nickolauson, Bedell's presentation topic is crucial to the industry.
“Card testing is absolutely vital to any manufacturing company around the world,” Nickolauson said. “Because Jeff's presentation can relate to all attendees of the Fall Workshops, we are very excited to have him present and are confident that listeners will learn about the benefits and developments we've seen in third-party testing.”
