Q-Card Recognized for Outstanding Member Service and Best Exhibit Design at ICMA Expo
SUNBURY, PA – April 20, 2009 – Q-Card, one of the most trusted card and ticket test laboratories and test equipment manufacturers in the card industry, celebrated an Outstanding Member Services Award and an Élan Award win for Best Exhibit Design at the International Card Manufacturers Association's (ICMA) Annual Card Manufacturing and Personalization EXPO, held March 31-April 4 at the Caribe Hilton in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
At the Élan Awards for Card Manufacturing Excellence ceremony on April 2, Vice President of Operations, Terry Schindler, received the award for Outstanding Member Service, along with fellow ICMA member, Merrill Martin of VCT-NJ. Schindler was applauded for his longstanding service to the association, including his recent leadership efforts as Secretary of ICMA's Green Task Force, an initiative that seeks to develop an industry-wide standard for environmentally-friendly cards and manufacturing practices.
Additionally, Q-Card was recognized with the award for the Best Exhibit Design for their innovative and interactive tradeshow booth. Finalists Apollo Colours Canada and Burkle USA were also honored.
“I am honored by this award. I would not be able to play such an active role in these initiatives if it wasn't for the support of our CEO, Karen Nickolauson, and the whole Q-Card team,” said Schindler.
“We are extremely proud of Terry and to be recognized by our peers for these awards,” said Nickolauson. “This is a true testament to our hard work and we hope the Q-Card name will continue to be associated with the dedication and innovation these awards represent.”
