EMV (Europay, MasterCard and VISA) is a global standard for inter-operation of integrated circuit cards and IC card capable point of sale terminals and automated teller machines for authenticating credit and debit card transactions. Near Field Communications (NFC) is a short-range, standards-based wireless connectivity technology, based on RFID technology that uses magnetic field induction to enable communication between electronic devices in close proximity.
